Is this a medical orthotic?
No. It is built on orthopaedic principles: a contoured shank, a real heel cup and cushioning that returns energy. It is not a prescription device and does not replace one if a podiatrist has fitted you with custom orthotics.
Do I take out my existing insole?
For 0.5" you usually do not have to. For 1" and 1.5" take the original out, otherwise the shoe gets tight.
How do I trim them?
Lay your old insole on top, line up the heels, and cut along the toe with sharp scissors. Cut less than you think, then test.
Will they flatten out?
The air chambers are sealed and the foam is high rebound, so they recover overnight rather than compressing permanently.
Good for plantar fasciitis or flat feet?
